What we do

Small Business IT Support — in depth

For Australian small businesses — from a single office up to around twenty staff. Trades, medical and dental practices, law firms, accountants and bookkeepers, retailers, cafés and hospitality, allied health and professional services across St George, the Sutherland Shire and southern Sydney..

What’s included

  • Managed IT support — we monitor, patch and support your systems for a fixed monthly fee, so there's no hourly meter.
  • Microsoft 365 setup and migration — moving small teams off ageing servers, Google Workspace and personal Gmail, with mail and files intact.
  • Microsoft 365 backup — Microsoft does not back up your data. We back up Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams, and restore a single email or a whole site.
  • Microsoft 365 security review — Microsoft secures the platform; the settings are yours, and that gap is where trouble starts.
  • Cyber security for small business — small businesses get targeted because they're assumed to be soft. Most attacks exploit basic gaps, and basic gaps are fixable.
  • Business Wi-Fi and networks — office Wi-Fi problems are rarely the modem. Proper coverage, cabling where it's needed, and a separate guest network.
  • Hardware and provisioning — the right computers and equipment deployed fast, with minimal disruption.

Problems we solve

  • Nobody in the office actually owns the IT.
  • Bills that change every month with no way to predict them.
  • Files or email lost with no way to get them back.
  • Staff sharing one network with the server and the payment terminal.
  • A provider who doesn't know your setup and asks every time.

Brands & systems we support

  • Microsoft 365 — Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams
  • Windows desktops, laptops and servers
  • Business networking and Wi-Fi
  • Backup and recovery

Microsoft 365 Security Audit

Most small businesses assume Microsoft is looking after their security.

Microsoft looks after the platform — the settings are yours. That gap is where the trouble starts: multi-factor authentication switched on for some staff but not others, old sign-in methods still enabled, files shared by links nobody has reviewed in two years. Our Microsoft 365 Security Audit is a fixed-price check of your whole tenant — Entra ID, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Defender and Purview — measured against the Australian Government's Essential Eight. You get a written report listing exactly what's exposed and what to fix first, in order of risk. It's yours to keep whether you take the work further with us or not.

Managed IT Support

Managed IT support means your technology is somebody's job before it becomes your problem.

For a fixed monthly fee per person, we monitor your systems, apply the security patches, run and test the backups, look after Microsoft 365, and pick up the phone when something stops working. No hourly meter, no surprise invoice after a bad week. We're five people in Oatley looking after around 400 clients across St George and southern Sydney — small enough that you'll know your technician by name and they'll know your setup without asking, close enough to be at your office when the problem needs hands on the gear. Call 1800 753 991 and we'll quote your plan.

Microsoft 365 Migration & Setup

Moving to Microsoft 365 sounds risky and usually isn't — as long as somebody plans it properly.

We move small businesses off ageing servers, Google Workspace, and the tangle of personal Gmail accounts that a lot of teams are quietly still running on. Mail, contacts, calendars, shared mailboxes and file shares all come across; the cutover happens after hours so nobody loses a working day; and we stay on afterwards to sort out the small things staff only notice in week two. Most businesses of five to twenty people are fully moved within one to two weeks. We'll tell you which Microsoft plan you actually need rather than the most expensive one, and quote a fixed price before we start.

Microsoft 365 Backup

Microsoft does not back up your data.

It's the single most common misunderstanding we see, and it costs people real money. Microsoft keeps deleted items for around 30 days, and its job is protecting Microsoft's infrastructure — not protecting you from a staff member who deletes a SharePoint folder nobody misses until the quarter closes, or from ransomware that encrypts every file synced to OneDrive. Our Microsoft 365 backup covers Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams, keeps your data well beyond Microsoft's window, and lets us restore a single email or an entire site. It's priced per user per month, and it's the cheapest insurance in your business.

Cyber Security for Small Business

Small businesses in Sydney get targeted precisely because they're assumed to be soft — no dedicated IT person, no monitoring, staff who've never had phishing training.

The good news is that most attacks exploit basic gaps, and basic gaps are fixable. We work to the Australian Government's Essential Eight, which is the standard the ACSC recommends and a sensible framework even for a team of ten. In practice that means multi-factor authentication done properly, email authentication set up so nobody can send invoices in your name, patching that actually happens, backups that are tested rather than assumed, and staff who know what a convincing fake looks like. Start with an audit of what you've got — you can't secure what you haven't measured.

Business IT Health Check

If you're not sure whether your IT is in reasonable shape, the honest answer is usually that some of it is and some of it isn't — and the parts that aren't tend to be the parts nobody's looked at.

Our free IT Health Check is a structured review of your systems, security, backups and Microsoft 365 setup. We'll spend about 45 minutes with you, then send you a written report telling you what's fine, what's a risk, and what we'd fix first. It's genuinely free and genuinely yours — no obligation, and you keep the report either way. Most businesses who read it end up asking us to fix something, which is the honest reason we offer it.

Business Wi-Fi & Network Upgrade

Office Wi-Fi problems are rarely about the modem.

They're usually about coverage — one router trying to reach a back office through two brick walls — or about everyone, including visitors, sitting on the same network as your server and payment terminal. We design and install proper business networks: access points positioned for the space you actually work in, cabling where it's needed, and a separate guest network so customers can get online without getting anywhere near your business systems. We'll survey the site, tell you what's causing the dropouts, and quote a fixed price to fix it.

“I bought a new computer from jbhi due to Windows 11 compatibility. Maxwell from Reliable Computers came out and within a very short period of time configured everything from my 9 year old model to the new one. No stress. Repeat- no stress. Maxwell was uber efficient and helpful. Another issue a day later was a new printer that needed to be connected caused me an issue. Vineet from the same company via the phone solved this problem over the phone. Summary: As their name says- reliable.,A stress free experience and I have no hesitation in recommending their services. In 12 months I am getting them to install Office 365. 5 Star Service.”
